ALL REFERENCES TO POLENE IN THIS POLICY REFER TO LA CADETTE, AS DEFINED IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND USE.
POLÈNE prioritizes the respect of privacy and the protection of personal data of individuals consulting, browsing, and, where applicable, placing orders for products on its Site (as defined in the T&Cs), namely the Users.
This document aims to inform Users about the conditions under which POLÈNE collects, stores, uses, and processes Users' personal data on its Site (hereinafter "Privacy Policy").
Users can consult the Privacy Policy at any time at the bottom of the Site page. Any User who disagrees with this document is invited not to use the Site.
POLÈNE reserves the right to modify the Privacy Policy at any time, particularly to comply with any legislative, regulatory, jurisprudential, editorial, or technical developments, or in case of changes to its services impacting the collection and processing of Personal Data.

1.1 Data Controller
The processing of Personal Data is carried out by POLENE, which operates the Site and acts as the Data Controller under Data Protection Laws. LA CADETTE, as it centralizes the management of data from its subsidiaries, including POLENE, is the Recipient of the data and acts as the Data Controller for data used for communication purposes. POLENE acts as a Joint Data Controller within the limits of the processing attributable to it or carried out at its request.
If the User is a customer located in Canada, POLENE collects, uses, and discloses their information for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. It may transfer this personal information to its affiliates for processing and storage. If the User is a customer located in Quebec, the transfer of their data will be subject to data transfer agreements.
1.2 Personal Data Collected
Personal data is information that identifies an individual directly or indirectly by combining it with other personal data, particularly by reference to an identifier or a name.
Personal Data is collected by POLÈNE:

Either directly through the information voluntarily provided by Users on the forms on the Site, particularly when subscribing to the newsletter or ordering a product.

The Personal Data that may be collected from Users includes:

Any other information that the User transmits to POLÈNE as part of a contact request or an exchange with customer service.
Personal Data is necessary to achieve the purposes described in Article 1.3.
Failure to provide this information may delay or prevent POLÈNE from providing its products or services.
No sensitive personal data concerning Users is collected, such as personal data related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, health data, or sexual orientation.
In some cases, POLENE may collect information that the User provides about third parties. This data is used solely to fulfill orders and will only be used to send marketing communications to said third parties unless they choose to receive communications from POLENE.
1.3 Purposes of Collection
Users' Personal Data is collected and processed to enable POLÈNE to:

When Personal Data is collected or held in a country outside Canada, POLÈNE undertakes to ensure a sufficient and appropriate level of protection for Personal Data in accordance with Canadian Federal and Provincial Privacy Laws.

As the Data Controller, POLÈNE undertakes to implement all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of Personal Data, in accordance with Regulation, and in particular, to prevent them from being altered, distorted, or accessed by unauthorized third parties.
1.8 Users' Rights
Every User has several rights regarding their Personal Data, which they can exercise at any time, in accordance with Regulation:

Right of access and rectification of their Personal Data that proves to be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated;

THE USER CAN AT ANY TIME REVOKE THEIR CONSENT AND REQUEST TO NO LONGER RECEIVE COMMUNICATIONS RELATED TO POLENE OFFERS, NEWS, AND EVENTS BY USING THE HYPERTEXT LINK PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE IN EACH EMAIL SENT OR DIRECTLY WITHIN THEIR CUSTOMER AREA.
